Our volunteer patrols are back on the sand from 26-Sept 2026, looking after Shelly Beach every weekend and public holiday until Anzac Day (Monday 26 April 2027).
On weekdays, Central Coast Council lifeguards have you covered from 9am to 5pm. Always swim between the red and yellow flags.

Nippers
Surf Life Saving is a great activity for nuturing your child’s confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Not only will your child have fun and meet new friends, they will become part of an iconic organisation that has served the Australian community for over 100 years.

Lifesaving
Every season our members proudly wear the iconic red and yellow uniform at Shelly Beach to protect the community.Every patrol member is trained to the highest standard and dedicates countless hours each season to patrolling our coastline -
Surf Sports
Surf sports are a great way to not only improve your lifesaving skills but also to actively participate in a healthy lifestyle.Each season there is an opportunity for our members to participate at a club, branch, state, national and at international level.Athletes can compete in a full range of beach and surf, pool rescue, surf boats, and surf board riding events. -
Dining
We have unique hospitality facilities including a cafe, restaurant and a fully licensed bar with spectacular views, open to all members and general public.
